ABOUT
In 2002, I began my jiu-jitsu journey when I moved to Boston, training at KIMURA Academy from White to Black belt. In 2008, I began my career as an instructor, assisting other professors with Kid’s Class.
In 2015, I was awarded my BJJ Black Belt, solidifying my knowledge of the art. I am certified by IBJJF, USBJJ, and CBJJ. Currently, I am a second-degree black belt with Team Alliance and the Founder of Infant System Bjj.
Martial arts has been my rock and shield during the toughest times of my life. Even after all these years, I still appreciate the chances it gives me to test my limits, awaken my inner warrior, and prove to myself how strong and capable I am. Knowing I can summon this strength whenever I need it most gives me the courage to pursue my goals.
Resilience is not a passive trait, but one that must be actively developed and nurtured. So even if martial arts isn't for you, find something, anything, that challenges you and helps you embrace discomfort. This will keep your mental fortitude sharp and physical defenses strong, instill humility in you, and empower you to press on through any obstacle. You will be ready for life's unpredictable twists and turns.
Martial arts training, when done well, should push you a little out of your comfort zone, both mentally and physically. It should be challenging but never harmful, and will help you realize your full potential through hard work and determination.
